Google has launched the QMobile A1 in Pakistan. The new Android One smartphone is readily available for purchase at retail stores across the country. The QMobile A1 brings a stock Android experience (Lollipop 5.1.1) to an affordable price point for those who simply cannot splash out on flagship devices.
What sets aside Android One hardware from more pricey smartphones is how stock Android is pre-installed on certified handsets manufactured by select partners. Google then has control over pushing updates straight to these handsets. Think Nexus, but low-end. The QMobile A1 will set purchasers back by 11,500 PKR ($110).
The affordable price tag will bag you a smartphone with a 4.5-inch IPS display, 1GB of RAM, 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 8GB of internal storage (with expandable SD slot), 1,700mAh battery, 5-MP rear shooter (with 2-MP front-facing selfie machine), and dual-SIM capabilities.
