Company didn’t reveal the exact value of investment but said that the money it raised is well north of six figures. Twitter Removes 140 Word Limit on Direct Messages The arrival of a new CEO also sees a major shift from Twitter’s 140-character philosophy. Starting from the next month, Twitter will remove this limit from its Direct Messages feature. The new limit is 10,000 characters which in the language of Twitter is infinite.
